Climb X

It’s a new year, and we couldn’t be more excited for 2012.  As a new name in the world, a lot of folks are wondering “who is Climb X?” We are climbers, and as climbers, we share values with our global gravity challenging tribe.  Whether you climb in Yosemite, the Czech Republic, or Thailand, we share a common element as climbers; the desire to push boundaries, explore the globe, discover what’s within, and the vehement passion to protect the natural wonders we cherish.  As climbers, we are the first to drop whatever occupies us to rescue or aid another.  We replace bolts and anchors to ensure the safety of others.  Currently, the American Alpine Club is participating in an exchange with climbers in Iran.  In the words of American Climbing Ambassador Jim Donini: “Climbers have always bridged the gaps between governments.  In the end, we’re all part of the same tribe.”  That is why Climb X is devoted toward sustainability and giving back to the global climbing community.  Our efforts include using sustainable organic hemp to line our shoes, creating quality reusable shoe boxes, supporting search and rescue volunteer organizations, and helping low-income youth and climbers in third world countries discover the pursuit of climbing.  We are climbers.  We are “Friends in High Places.”
